Marie’s dedication to the counseling profession is recognized by her motivation to expand her knowledge on the most recent evidence-based techniques in order to best assist her clients.

Marie is committed to providing individual therapy to teenagers and adults in a non-judgmental, attentive, supportive and empowering manner. She perceives therapy as a journey between the counselor and client in which the counselor assists the client reach their goals, gain a new perspective on life, and/or recognize their inner strengths. Marie’s therapeutic approach primarily consists of client-centered and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also has an interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Marie completed her B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida International University from 2008-2015. She worked as a volunteer and front office receptionist at Miami Counseling and Resource Center from 2012-2015.
