Mindfulness Meditation Workshop

Mindfulness meditation involves training our mind to observe the present in a non-judgmental manner, with patience and acceptance. Mindfulness is based on Buddhist practices but it does not subscribe to any religious beliefs. Research has shown that maintaining a mindfulness practice can help with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, and many other ailments.

The mindfulness meditation group offered at MCRC will occur over an 8 week period for 1.5 hours per week. Exercises focus on sitting meditation, walking meditation, yoga, and other mindfulness exercises.


Annie Khan, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who works with individuals and couples. Annie has extensive experience helping people work through difficult transition periods in their lives, such as changes in relationships or major life changes. She also works with issues pertaining to diversity and sexual orientation.


BEGINNER PHASE (4 sessions)
Starts: Saturday September 26th
Ends: Saturday October 17th
Time: 11 am – 12:30 pm
Cost: $300 (full payment required at beginning of group)

ADVANCED PHASE (4 sessions)
Start: Saturday October 24th
End: Saturday November 14th
Time: 11 am – 12:30 pm
Cost: $300 (full payment required at the beginning of advanced phase)
