Psychological & Diagnostic Evaluations
At times, it is uncertain as to why an individual is struggling in life with school, work, family, relationships, or other life endeavors. For children sometimes, there may be behavioral problems such as fighting, tantrums, defiance, or lying. This can be caused by social challenges, immaturity or developmental delays, social-emotional struggles, or even attention or learning problems. In adolescence or adulthood, it may appear more as depression, drug or alcohol abuse, irritability, or anger. To determine the cause of these difficulties, comprehensive testing is used to evaluate the many possible areas that may be influencing the individual. We look at:
- personality
- psychological functioning
- memory
- intelligence
- attention
- visual processing
- auditory processing
- analytical and reasoning ability
- planning and organization
- social intelligence
- motivation
A comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluation will provide a clinical diagnosis and treatment recommendations. If you are interested in learning more, please call us for more information.
