Agoraphobia (Anxiety) Resource Center, one of the four divisions of the Miami Counseling & Resource Center, was founded in 1977 by Dr. Paula Levine, a pioneer in the field of anxiety disorders (see The center was the first outpatient treatment facility in Dade County to specifically address the problems of individuals who suffer from anxiety and phobic disorders. Symptom-focused, cognitive-behavioral treatment, either individually or in group, is available for panic disorder, agoraphobia, social phobia, specific phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
