Resource Center
Anorexia & Bulimia Resource Center, one of the four divisions of the
Miami Counseling & Resource Center, was established in 1983 and has
dedicated itself to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of eating
disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating
disorder, and compulsive overeating. Because the incidence of eating
disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder continues to
increase, we are committed not only to state-of-the-art treatment and
successful outcomes, but also to the politics and possibilities of primary
prevention.
Knowing that a strong team approach is required to successfully treat
eating disorders, we offer psychotherapy, nutrition counseling and
psychiatric services. Our nutritionists are experts in the treatment of
anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. We also collaborate with
physicians, other health care providers, and local high schools and
colleges.
